We used to live in Vadena in the province of Bolzano.
In 2009 we have decided to build CASARIGA in the middle of our agricultural holding, in 2014 we moved in and at the end of that year we opened the bed and breakfast.
That's right: all around CASARIGA there are our fields, about 4 acres of land where we produce apples, rasperiess, grapes and blueberries.
Why CASARIGA?
Above all, Casariga is a life project; we looked for a place where we could raise our children away from factories and roads. We asked nature to let us in; we have to respect our host, walk on the tip of our toes and impose our presence as little as possible.
The mother idea of our project is to have nature all around us without giving up the comfort of a modern home.
For us it was key to hide as much as possible the boundary between inside and outside.
We therefore have thought up and built rooms with a wall completely made of glass.
When you open the tents in the morning, you feel like you’re outside. It’s a dazzling sensation which makes me say: “Hello World, how are you?”.
Our family lives everyday in this erratic house and we often happen to see wild animals pass near us.
Living here we discovered that living in a small community is very rewarding.
Living in a fringe place, outside big and industrial cities turned out to be a very valuable.
